मेरा नाम मदन मोहन शुक्ल है। मैं 2 अक्टूबर 1939 में बनारस में पैदा हुआ था। B.H.U. से B.Sc. (1959), M.Sc. (1961), Ph.D in theoretical physics (1967) Ph.D Degree पाने के बाद तुरंत 1968 की शुरुआत में University of OSLO (Norway) में POST DOCTORAL को गया। 1970 की शुरुआत में AERONAUTICA INSTITUTE S.P. (ITA) में एक साल के लिए एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर बना। 1971 की शुरुआत से UNICAMP (STATE UNIVERSITY OF S.P. IN CAMPINAS) join किया। जल्द ही Associate professor, कुछ साल बाद Professor of physics, कई Students को M.Sc., Ph.D. thesis में Guide किया। 1991 के जून में Retirement लिया। 1992 की शुरुआत में 8 साल तक दूसरी State University of S.P. (UNSEP, BAURU) में Associate professor बना रहा । 2000 के अंत में Physics से जान छुड़ा ली। फिर दिन-रात शेरोशायरी में जिंदगी गुजर रही है। मैं जब 18 साल का था तभी से उर्दू की शायरी करता था, हिन्दी स्क्रिप्ट में 1961 के पहले गजल और नज़्म मिलाकर करीबन 200 लिख ली थी। मुशायरे में शरीक होता था, कई नामी शायरों से दोस्ती भी थी। M.Sc. की study और higher study में शेरोशायरी करीब-करीब खत्म सी हो गयी थी।
